Overall Objective:
|
|
The overall objective is to enhance and facilitate trade in industrial products, thus increasing Croatia’s presence in the European and world markets.
|
| Specific Objectives: |
-
to support the further harmonization of Croatian technical legislation with the one existing in the EU
-
to enhance the institutional capacity of various parts of the Croatian Quality Infrastructure (Metrology, Standardization, Accreditation and Conformity Assessment bodies) and
-
further develop the technical capacity of the staff in Metrology, Standardization, Accreditation and Conformity Assessment.

| Expected results: |
-
Croatian technical legislation is further aligned to the EU legislation;
-
The Croatian metrological infrastructure is consolidated, services in the area of metrology are expanded and national calibration laboratories for mass, density, temperature and pressure, length and electrical quantities fulfil their tasks according to Measuring Instruments Directive (MID) and Non-automatic weighing instruments (NAWI);

The National Accreditation system is improved and conformity assessment system for certain directives (Low voltage electrical industrial products 73/23/EEC -LVD, Construction Products 89/106/EEC –CPD, Non-automatic weighing instruments 90/384/EEC- NAWI, Measuring instruments 2004/22/EC-MID, Electromagnetic compatibility 89/336/EE - EMC, Gas appliances 90/396/EEC, Potentially explosive atmospheres 94/9/EC - ATEX are established.

The capacity of the staff of the Croatian metrological infrastructure to fulfill their tasks according to MID and NAWI is enhanced.
