International collaboration

After the reorganization of the State Office for Metrology (DZM) in 2003, DZM continued to actively and professionally collaborate with the responsible European and international legal metrology organisations (OIML, WELMEC) with a view to

  • exchange knowledge, experience and information
  • adapt to new developments in the field of legal metrology (NAWI, MID, Prepackages, Measuring Container Bottles and Units of Measurement)
  • contribute to the further development of the metrology profession.

International collaboration activities of the State Office for Metrology mainly comprise:

  • activities conducted pursuant to the Bilateral Agreements signed with other national metrology authorities
  • activities conducted pursuant to the membership in  WELMEC (European Cooperation in Legal Metrology
  • activities conducted pursuant to the membership in  OIML (International Organisation of Legal Metrology)
  • activities conducted pursuant to the harmonization with the EU legal framework

 BILATERAL AGREEMENTS

The list of Bilateral Agreemets signed with other national metrology authorities  are apecifies here below. The Bilateral Agreements mainly refers to the work on mutually agreed topics, elimination of technical barriers to trade, exchange of staff and information and promotion of metrology related issues.

 

Albania

Bulgaria

  • Agreement on mutual collaboration between the State Office for Standardization and Metrology and the State Agency for Standardization and Metrology of the Republic of Bulgaria (2000)

Bosnia and Herzegovina

  • Memorandum of Under Understanding between the State Office for Metrology and the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (2014)

Macedonia

  • Collaboration agreement between the State Office for Metrology and the Bureau of Standardization and Metrology (1998)

Slovenia

  • Collaboration agreement between the State Office for Standardization and Metrology and the Ministry of Economic Relations and Development of the Republic of Slovenia (2000)
  • Agreement on free trade between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia (2000)
  • Agreement on the mutual recognition of test reports and certificates of conformity (2000)

Slovakia

  • Collaboration agreement between the State Office for Metrology and the Slovak Office of Standards, Metrology and Testing (2000)

Turkey

  • Collaboration agreement between the State Office for Metrology and the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) (1998)
